Wildcats take Raiders 17-7. Luck was not with these Paulding Raiders this time during their game with Villa Rica. Despite best efforts, and a last-minute touchdown by Jody Waddell, East Paulding took a loss to the Villa Rica Wildcats.
The Wildcats first possession was a steady 6 minute drive to a TD. While the Raiders defense struggled to hold the Wildcats, a push to the 21 yard line in the 2nd quarter allowed Villa Rica to make a field goal. It was not until the 4th Quarter before the Wildcats scored their final touchdown.  With three minutes left in the game, Raiders Jody Waddell rushed for the only touchdown for the Raiders.
For the next two weeks, the Raiders will be on the road. The first game will be Carrolton who has won their first two games. This will be their first regional game under a new coach Sean Calhoun.  The following week will against Kell. Kell is 2-1 and beat out Rome this past week. Rome is now being coached by former Raiders head coach, John Reid.  The Raiders will finally return to the Bone Yard the first week of October to play Cass.
