PATRIOTS STORM WILDCATS 35-21

The Paulding County Patriots got back on the winning track Friday night with a Homecoming victory over the Woodland Wildcats. The Patriots improved their record to 3-4 and 2-3 in region 7 (5A). It was a must win situation for the Patriots if they wanted to keep their playoff hopes alive for the season.
While everyone was watching the storm situation with hurricane Matthew wreaking havoc the Patriots went to work and took care of business against the squad from Cartersville. The Patriots were led by Quarterback Brantley Mauldin who threw 3 touchdown passes and ran for another. Mauldin ended up the night with 225 yards passing going 12/28. Tre Lewis found the end zone twice for the Patriots and Tyrone Summerour also had a touchdown reception.Dale Bryant rounded out the scoring with a short touchdown run.
The Patriots have their bye week next week and return to action October 21 as they travel to White Georgia to play the Cass Colonels in another must win situation.
