Spartan Alumni Leeds the KSU Owls

South Paulding graduate Chandler Burks leads the Kennesaw St. Owl’s football team to an 8-2 start. Burks stepped in as the quarterback in the first game of the season after starter Trey White went down with a season ending injury. Burks, who lead the Spartans to the state playoffs his senior year with a number of school records has carried his talents on to KSU. The Owl’s are the number one offense in the big south conference and are in line to tie for first place in their conference. With a win over Charleston Southern this Saturday it will put the Owl’s in line to make the playoffs. The owls put up impressive numbers this past Saturday with a 48-10 win over Presbyterian with Burks putting up 288 total yards. With Burks in his sophomore year has two more years of leading the Owls.
