Hiram Advances In State Volleyball Playoffs

The Hiram Hornets were the only team from the county to advance to the State tournament as North Paulding fell to Camden County and South Paulding lost to Alpharetta. Hiram made quick work of Southwest Dekalb and won the match 3-0 and advanced to the 2nd round where they will travel to Buford.

Senior outside hitter Amelia Foley was a dominant force at the net collecting one of her numerous kills. Jada Price -Townsend scores by faking a set and pushing into an unoccupied area. Coach Kevin Thomas addresses his squad during a timeout. Thomas is in his 11th season with the Hornets. He has been highly successful with the program and usually, his teams are in the running for their region crown and post-season playoffs. The Hornets will have to stay focused and bring their best game as they travel to play Buford in round 2.
