Patriots Sweep Hornets On The Diamond 9-2, 8-4

The Paulding County Patriots righted the ship in the region with a much-needed sweep of the Hiram Hornets last week in region 7 5A action. The victories were almost must win in the region as the Patriots were off to a rough start at 0-4, but now they have 2 victories against 4 losses in the region with 1/3 of the season in the books. The Hornets are struggling to find their way as they dropped to 1-5 in the season. The Hornets can swing the bats for sure though as they outhit Paulding in game 2 of the series as they had 11 hits to Paulding's 9. The Patriots play a home and home this week against East Paulding and the Hornets face Kell in a home and home series.
