This Paulding Rotary Club meeting took place at the WellStar nursing and rehab facility formerly known as Paulding Memorial. It was a bright day and not to hot as the club members showed up with trucks full of food for the annual cookout here for the senior citizens and residents of the nursing home facility. After all the ingredients in food were brought to the pavilion behind the facility the Rotary club members began to prepare plates of grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for all the residents.

Paulding Rotary Club member Ford Thigpen and Dallas Rotary Club member Virginia Galloway were on hand helping to prepare the meals for nearly 200 residents at facility. One of the Rotary club members pointed that this is probably the only time some of the residents have the opportunity for anything grilled.

Even though hospital food has come a long way in the past 20 years, I think that we can all agree it still has a ways to go. The smiles of the residents and staff members made it clear just how much everyone enjoyed the food and fellowship.
