New Georgia Library is proud to announce our winner for the 2016 Adult Summer Reading, Daniella Martinez. Ms. Martinez read and participated in multiple events for adults to enter the drawing at our location.

The South Paulding varsity softball team rallied late and used a strong bullpen performance to defeat Paulding County 10-5 in the opening game for both squads at South Paulding High School on August 9th.

The Paulding County Patriots volleyball season got off to a great start as the Patriots swept the visiting Pepperell Dragons in both J.V. and Varsity matches. The J.V. won their match taking two games to none.

PC 4-H’ers Compete at State 4-H Congress. Four Paulding County 4-H students competed at State 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Georgia July 26-29, 2016. Competitors included: Madison Thomason, Jamie Babecka, Aaren Schertler, and Josh Kudwa.

Aaren Schertler a Senior home school 4-H’er took first place in the Companion Animal Science project at State 4-H Congress in Atlanta on July 27th.

Hiram officials held a ribbon-cutting last week to announce the completion of its Main Street Improvement project, in the works since last year. The project installed new water lines, new sewer lines, new sidewalks, new curb & gutter, new street lights, and new paving.

Matthew Wright is a newly licensed attorney. He graduated high school, college, and law school as an honors student. He graduated from East Paulding High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, and he received his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.

Brian Kemp Secretary of State Guest Speaker For PCBA Governmental Affairs Meeting. The Paulding County Builders Association Governmental Affairs update and General Association Meeting will be on August 25th.
