Paulding E-911 reference a domestic dispute with shots fired. The incident location was 25 Wesleyan Way Dallas, Georgia 30132 which is in the Ivey Meadows subdivision. When Deputies arrived on the scene they found three victims who had sustained gunshot wounds and were in various conditions.
Paulding County UGA Extension Master Gardener Volunteers recently recognized Christen Thomas as Paulding County Master Gardener of the Year as well as the Robert Cabrera of Keep Paulding Beautiful and Tom Liles of Paulding County High School FFA as the Friends of Master Gardeners at their Annual New Beginnings Celebration Dinner.
The Paulding County Rotary Club welcomed Ann Pennebaker to speak at this week's meeting. Introduced by club member Randy Arrowood, Mrs. Pennebaker is an author and educator turned recovery counselor involved in a local 12 step program fighting the disease of addiction. Mrs. Pennebaker comes from a highly trained and educated background. However, her passion for the fight against addiction is very personal.
Paulding Courthouse at the Watson government complex received the first court graduation of the year. Judge Dean Bucci has been responsible for pursuing the program here in Paulding County. Judge Bucci was impressed with the original drug court model of Judge Jack Partain III and chose it as the model that was implemented here in Paulding County. Judge Partain was in attendance as a guest speaker for the graduation ceremony and was presented with a certificate of appreciation by Judge Bucci.
Construction of the Paulding County Sheriff’s headquarters and detention Center at the Watson Complex in Dallas is said to be close to completion, with Paulding commissioners staff move-in date is targeted for mid to late April. The date of completion is March 18, according to Amy Tisenchek, senior program manager.

DALLAS, Ga. - On Jan. 25, Paulding County Cloverleaf 4-H’ers traveled to Georgia Highlands College in Rome, Georgia to compete at District Project Achievement (DPA). There were 11 counties represented at the event and a total of 554 students competed.
Chattahoochee Technical College announced Surgical Technology student Beauty Chanda as its 2020 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner and Psychology instructor Monica Barbara as the college’s 2020 Rick Perkins Award instructor of the year. Chattahoochee Tech also announced Denise James as the college’s Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education (EAGLE) award winner.
