Hiram was the first school to face an opponent, taking on Lithia Springs last Thursday and just getting beat out by 11 points over all. Hiram takes on Carrolton this week while Paulding County High School Prepares for Chapel Hill.
SPMS students celebrated their success from the first 9 weeks grading period at the Renaissance celebration held at the school. The Renaissance celebration was open to students meeting certain criteria for the program including good grades, behavior, and attendance.

The Paulding County Patriots traveled to White Georgia Friday night to play the Cass Colonels. In a must win situation for both teams the Patriots came through in crunch time scoring 16 points in the 4th quarter to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The cheerleaders of PCHS have still transformed into superheroes for the day. As a part of Cape Day to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, they began a coin drive to raise money to help children fighting illnesses, and on October 21, came to school dressed in their superhero capes.

The South Paulding Spartans pull out a win against the New Manchester Jaguars this past Friday night. The Spartans took their first win of the season in a hard fought game from both teams. The Spartan’s scored first with a TD from #42 Jarek Gibbons to take a 6-0 lead early in the first quarter.
The Hiram Hornets volleyball team hosted the Locust Grove Wildcats in the first round of the state playoffs. Hiram was the number 2 seed from Area 7 (5A) and the visitors from Henry County were the number 3 seed from their region 4.
The Hiram Hornets came into the game hoping to get back on the winning track against a traditional powerhouse in Georgia high school football. The 8th ranked Carrollton Trojans made the trip up highway 61 with other plans on their mind.
