Every year Paulding County Farm Bureau awards scholarships to deserving Paulding County Seniors in Memory of Dr Jim Goodman past president of Paulding County Farm Bureau and county dentist. Dr Goodman believed education was one of the most important tools a person could obtain.
Paulding County Cloverleaf 4-H’ers traveled to Seven Springs Church in Lithia Springs, Georgia to compete at the County Project Achievement (CPA) competition. There were 49 students that competed at the 1st ever county-level event. Each student presented in 1 of 34 categories for their specific program areas.

Chattahoochee Tech graduate Alderine Healey recently was named the 2020 Private Pre-K Teacher of the Year by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL). For the past five years, Healey has served as a lead Pre-K teacher at the YMCA Paulding Early Learning Center in Hiram.
April 4, 2021, was a beautiful 72-degree sunny day in New Hope for the dedication of the Flight 242 monument. Families came from Virginia, North Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia. Survivors and family members gathered this Easter Sunday on the 43rd Anniversary of the crash of Southern Airways Flight 242 to share in the monument dedication ceremony.
