The Paulding Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting for Easy Walk Foot Clinic on August 12th. The clinic is located at 5604 Wendy Bagwell Pkwy., #311 in Hiram. Dr. Azuka Nwaedozie (“Dr. N”) has dedicated most of her life to giving back to others and serving her community in the medical field. Dr. N graduated from The New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City.
Missy Cusack of Chattahoochee Technical College and fellow Rotarian introduced 2 of 4 students Julie Mullenix and Rich Omari who are Rotary scholarship recipients and are attending Chattahoochee Technical College. The Paulding Rotary Club gladly continues to provide scholarship assistance to local students furthering their education.

JK Land Jeep Sales & 4X4 Outfitters is a modern, innovative, high-end Jeep dealership and 4X4 customization experience located off Highway 92 at 64 Hunter Road, where Douglasville and Paulding County co-exist. JK Land specializes in new and used Jeep sales, Jeep outfitting and Jeep conversions, in addition to 4X4 truck and SUV outfitting and customizations.
Truth in Nature, a 501c3 non-profit organization will be adding a second chapter for its outdoor mentorship and ministry programs for fatherless boys in fall 2019. Truth in Nature has grown its reach locally in the Dallas, GA community to now have the need to expand its programs to host 2 mentoring weekends per month at the Dallas Camp Facility.
Member Doug LaRoss introduced guest speaker Rita Norris current CareLink Board of Directors Chair. Ms. Norris, who brings years of experience with community service programs, has been involved with CareLink for three years and is held the chair for the past year and a half. CareLink serves as a community health, dental and wellness clinic providing low-cost and high-quality medical support care and resources to the residents of Paulding County. CareLink is a 501(c)(3) organization and is committed to addressing access to care barriers while promoting healthy lifestyles through education and prevention.

Jody has been involved with the Chamber for many years serving as an Ambassador, Co-Chair of the Empowering Women Committee, a Leadership Paulding graduate and an active volunteer. The Paulding Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting for Glovers Mobile Tutoring on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. Glovers Mobile Tutoring is a safe, fun, and friendly drop-in tutorial program that caters to all learners. Glovers Mobile Tutoring provides continued learning tutorial camps throughout the summer, daily tutorials, remediation and advancement for all K-12 subjects, and afterschool tutorials.
Paulding County Rotary Club President-elect Jackie Crum received the gavel today from now-past Rotary Club President Ford Thigpen. Jackie now in her third year of membership with the Paulding Rotary Club is looking forward to strengthening the Rotary Club's service and presence in the community.
The Paulding County Rotary club welcomed Angela Moses on behalf of the Paulding County Special Olympics. Larry Jernigan introduced Mrs. Moses to the club as the Special Olympics coordinator for the past three years. She thanked members for the invitation to speak.
The Paulding County Rotary Club welcomed Laurie Ashmore, Director of the Paulding County Water System to the June 11th meeting. Mrs. Ashmore gave a thorough presentation and an update on the status of the Richland Creek Reservoir project. The Richland Creek Reservoir is a critical infrastructure element for Paulding County. The reservoir project is a 20-year effort to ensure safe, sustainable drinking water for now and into the foreseeable future. This project is the largest county undertaking in its history.
Truth in Nature is a volunteer program to help young men growing up without a father or in a single-parent environment. Many young men in middle school or high school are growing up in our society without a positive male role model. The strain of being a single parent leaves little time to communicate with and provide that role model which is so desperately needed in these young men's lives.
WellStar Paulding Hospital hosted its first ever Cancer Survivor Day celebration. It was said the event catered to 106 cancer survivors and their family members for a day in honor of their survival.
The Paulding County Rotary Club rallied this past week for their Annual Senior Cookout at the Wellstar Paulding Nursing Center in Dallas. Paulding Rotary Club members began to arrive around 11AM to start preparing the meals for the center's senior residents and staff members.

The Paulding County Rotary Club, the first Rotary Club in Paulding County, was chartered in 1969. It has approximately 42 active members and meets regularly.
Although the clubs are different from one another, the common mission is the same – SERVICE TO COMMUNITY. We invite you to visit each club to determine which is the best fit for you.
