clean 600x314 2bPaulding County area residents came out to White Oak Park to clean up, as part of the continuing statewide campaign to clean and preserve over 70,000 miles of Georgia’s rivers and streams. The effort was part of Rivers Alive, a joint program of the Environmental Protection Division’s Outreach Education Programs and the Department of Community Affairs’ Keep Georgia Beautiful Program.

VolunteersRecognized 600x314 2bThe American Legion recently recognized four veterans for their outstanding volunteerism at Post 111 in Dallas. Those honored were Max Thomas and George Delmar Cook, both U.S. Air Force veterans, Billy Cooper, a U.S. Marine and Harold Thomason, who served in the U.S. Army.

public 600x314The Paulding Chamber of Commerce continued its tradition of honoring local public safety officials for their outstanding service at our Georgia Power Luncheon. Featured award presentations went to individuals from the Paulding County Sheriff and Fire Departments, Marshall’s Bureau, District Attorney’s Office, E911 Center, the City of Dallas Police Department, the City of Hiram Police Department and Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service.

2017 Inter Literacy Day600x341September 6, 2017, the Mayor of Hiram, Teresa Philyaw, presented a proclamation declaring the week of September 4 through 8, International Literacy Week to the students in the Paulding Adult Education Program. With a population in excess of 150,000, Paulding County is able to sustain two (2) Rotary Clubs: Dallas Rotary Club AND Rotary Club of Paulding County.
The Dallas Rotary Club is the newer of the clubs. It was established in 2003 and has 17 active members. This club currently has its regular meetings on Thursday mornings at Audrey’s Cafe. Please check Facebook for schedule.
The Paulding County Rotary Club, the first Rotary Club in Paulding County, was chartered in 1969. It has approximately 42 active members and meets regularly.
Although the clubs are different from one another, the common mission is the same – SERVICE TO COMMUNITY. We invite you to visit each club to determine which is the best fit for you. Please see each club on Facebook for current meeting schedule. FOUR WAY TEST: Of all the things we think, say or do…. Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build good will and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
