Paulding Fine Arts Association's 30th Annual Student Art Show Reception and Awards presentation was held Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Dallas Civic Center and Theatre in downtown Dallas, GA. Crowds viewed the wonderful artwork created by 172 students.

This past Thursday, February 2nd, the Paulding Rotary club participated in the Feeding America Backpack Program. This year we sorted and delivered over 5300 pounds of food to 11 schools in Paulding County.
Chattahoochee Technical College recently received the distinction of hosting one of the top 10 nursing programs in Georgia by www.registerednursing.org. Listed at No. 5, CTC was noted for its Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program.
The Alternative Baseball Organization is a free-to-join developmental baseball program for teens and adults 16 and over with autism and special needs. Alternative Baseball provides an outlet for players in the program to grow and succeed through practices, umpired games, and special events.
Upon admission to the hospital, patients receive a touchscreen tablet where they can view test results, medications, labs, vital signs and daily treatment schedules. Currently in pilot phase at Paulding Hospital, MyChart Bedside will be available across WellStar’s Epic-based hospitals by May 2017.
The BBQ Dudes of Burnt Hickory and The New Hope Q Crew hosted a fundraiser at the town of Ynot on January 28, 2017. Funds raised were for New Hope Memorial Flight 242, Inc. to help raise funds to build a monument in New Hope to preserve the memory of 72 lives lost and to honor the 21 survivors.
Ms. McIver, new to her position as of December 1st of last year, plans to utilize her skills in technology, communication and education to continue and expand the positive work that is being accomplished. Her goal is to further expand awareness of the 4-H in Paulding County.
GHC’s Advancement Division recently received the 2016 Overall Institutional Excellence in Advancement award. The annual award is given out by the GEAC, which selects a winner from all public, private and technical colleges and universities in Georgia each year.
