Marine Corps Private First Class George Willis IV has graduated from basic military training at Parris Island, South Carolina. He is the son of George Willis III and Kathleen Willis of Acworth, Ga. Private First Class Willis is a 2016 graduate of North Paulding High School.

9 years ago, at 26 years old, I was diagnosed with cancer. I was 32 weeks pregnant with my first child. I had discovered a knot in my neck before I was even pregnant. I thought it was a swollen lymph node and didn’t think much else of it. After I became pregnant, this knot began to change.
