You are invited to the 2016 Annual Invitational Christmas Parade held in Historic Downtown Dallas Georgia. The parade will be on Saturday, December 3rd beginning at 1pm. The parade will begin at Dallas Elementary School and end at the historic Dallas Courthouse Square.
American Legion Post 111 and members of the Paulding County Veterans Memorial Committee held a Veterans Day Service downtown Dallas on Friday, November 11th at 11:00 AM. The 23rd Annual service was held in honor of all Veterans living and deceased, especially those who died while serving our country, with a special remembrance for the eighty-two Paulding County Veterans.
Paulding Fine Arts welcomed Girl Scout Troop 17228 to our Historic Courthouse Gallery & Studios last Thursday. The girls are working on their Art Badges. Peggy Cline talked to them about careers in art and using our current exhibit, helped the girls identify different art mediums.
Bernadine Cantrell was crowned as Ms. Senior Georgia on August 21st. She is 79 years old, has 4 children, 22 grandchildren and 13 great grand children. The Cantrells will celebrate 60 years of marriage on February 2nd.
Paulding High School and North Paulding High School along with their advisors who participated again this year to gather almost 1000lbs of canned and non-perishable food items which were donated to Helping Hands of Paulding County.
Tis the season for baking cookies! Friday, December 9th is Christmas Cookie Day! There will be displays of Christmas Recipe books and new cookie recipes to take home to try, and starting at 2:00, there will be some delicious Christmas cookies to sample.

Guest speaker, Paulding County School Superintendent Cliff Cole. Mr. Cole thank the Rotary club for a warm welcome as he introduced himself. Mr. Cole gave a state of the school's address with regards to the Paulding County school system. He gave an extremely thorough overview of Paulding County schools.
The Paulding Retired Educators met on November 1 at the First Baptist Church in Dallas. Members and guests enjoyed a covered dish luncheon.
Georgia Classic Rides presented $4,000.00 to Paulding children’s programs. Programs presented checks at the Georgia Classic Rides October 2016 Car Cruise were Paulding Cops for Kids, Poole Elementary School Backpack Program, New Georgia Elementary School Backpack Program, and Paulding Christmas.
Guest speaker, Chief financial officer for the WellStar Health System, Mr. Jim Budzinski. Addressing healthcare in general and gave the primary contributing factors for the rising cost. Three particular factors are putting pressure on the healthcare industry; cost, an aging population and regulation.
