end 600x314The South Paulding Spartans end the season with a loss to the 5AAAAAA region champions Creekside Seminoles. The Spartans started the game strong with an opening drive to take the lead 7-0. The Seminoles would counter back with a score of their own and never look back. The Spartans struggled the rest of the game to get anything going on the offense with Creekside’s defense dominating the game.

AdvancePlayoffs 600x314Tensions between East Paulding Raiders and Villa Rica Wildcats heated up in last Friday's game. The game was crucial for both teams as the victor would go on to the playoff and the other walk off for the final time. Both teams racked up countless personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct throughout the game.

kell600x314Cold and rainy conditions made for a bleak first-quarter as the Longhorns stacked up a considerable lead over the Hornets. Hiram rallied in the third and fourth quarters of the game, defending against any further Kell scores. The final score was Longhorns 30 to Hornets 0. Regardless of the final score, both teams played hard despite the conditions.

Trojans 600x314The Paulding County Patriots hosted the Carrollton Trojans at Dave Hardin Stadium for their final home game of the season last Friday night. The Trojans cruised to a 56-0 victory in their quest to garner the #2 seed in region 7(5A} which is currently a logjam with East Paulding, Kell, and Carrollton.

19 Battle 600x314East Paulding High School Raiders and Head Coach Billy Shackelford was presented the revolving “Battle” trophy on October 19th with a true rivalry battle. This game did not disappoint with several lead changes and big plays to allow the Raiders to get the “w”!

wolves600x314The Rome Wolves kept rolling as the Patriots of Paulding County became their latest victim in there quest to win a 3rd straight championship. The Wolves bested the Patriots 68-7 and left little doubt as to why they are ranked #1 in class 5A.

ns state600x314East Paulding's shortstop Lexi Matthews applies the tag to Hirams Megan Smith in the region tournament. The Raiders won the game 11-3 and punched their ticket to the State playoffs where they will travel to play Lithia Springs in the first round. South Paulding will likely rely on the arm of freshman Katelyn Munoz to help get them through the first round of the State playoffs as they travel to Dacula this week in round 1. Hannah McGill and the North Paulding Wolfpack will have to keep the bats hot to advance to round 2. The PACK opens up the State playoffs hosting Campbell from Smyrna this week.

Corral 600x314The Paulding County Patriots hosted the Kell Longhorns on Friday night at Dave Harden Stadium. The Patriots seeking their first win of the season were unable to contain the Longhorns as they ran roughshod over their, would be captors collecting their first region win by a score of 54-20. The Patriots played hard till the very end but were just unable to keep the Longhorns off the scoreboard.
