Pegamore seems to be an oddly unique localized place name. There’s Pegamore Creek, Pegamore Lake, the cemetery and now a few road names that have popped up in recent years. I don’t think any other place on earth has a Pegamore except our area of Georgia. There had to be a story behind it.
