Marjorie Gibson was preparing for a road trip to Austin, Texas, to visit family when she felt the familiar breathlessness and tightness in her chest. Diagnosed in 1995 with heart failure, the 73-year- old Dallas, Ga., resident knew the symptoms all too well. Marjorie called 911 and went to WellStar Paulding Hospital, just seven miles from her home.

Janet Rooks has won the adult summer reading prize from the West Georgia Regional Library. Rooks participated in summer reading at the Crossroads Public Library. She won the drawing for the regional adult prize: a night out on the town gift set worth $300.
Treston's Color Box is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and was started in 2016 when our 7 year old son asked how he could help other children in hospitals. He came up with the idea to give them coloring books.
For the last seven years I've cycled across the states of Fla, Ga. Back in 2003 while still working I was able to bike on some evenings and weekends. When I retired in 2009, I was able to step up my cycling to three days a week, a total of 225 miles.

Kiwanis Club of Paulding County attended the 97th Annual Georgia Division of Kiwanis Convention at Callaway Gardens. The conference was to educate members, elect the next year’s board of trustees and celebrate the service year.
The Pauldng Rotary Club’s Fifth Annual Pigskin preview was held at the Dallas Civic Center. The Paulding Rotary Club is proud to host this meeting of all five Paulding County high schools.
With a population in excess of 150,000, Paulding County is able to sustain two (2) Rotary Clubs: Dallas Rotary Club AND Rotary Club of Paulding County.
