The alliance also provides resources such as education and training with regards to drug and alcohol abuse.

tucker 600x314 2bLieutenant Tanner, an officer with the Paulding County Sherriff’s Office, made a very special delivery to a seventh grade student at South Paulding Middle School. When he heard of her desire to compose and play music, he donated one of his own guitars to help her pursue her interest. Miss Jaden Tucker was surprised and delighted to receive the gift, promising that she would practice until she mastered the instrument.

This contest was in conjunction with the Paulding County Comprehensive Planning.

cancer 600x314Donna's breast cancer journey, which began in September 2014, included surgery in October 2014, followed by chemotherapy and radiation. Working closely with her surgeon and care team, she decided this treatment sequence was best for her. Now cancer free, Donna came through it all like the Wonderwoman her family, friends and co-workers know that she is.

4h 600x314 2bGeorgia 4-H’s 172,354 student members will celebrate National 4-H Week Oct. 2-8. During the week, the state’s largest youth development organization wants to raise awareness of the program that started as a club for farm kids and has grown into a place that helps youth become successful and confident adults.

GHC access 600x314 2bGeorgia Highlands College is working with high schools and college and career academies throughout Northwest Georgia to offer students more accessible college courses while they are still in high school. “Part of our access mission is to make courses available to students in a variety of formats and times to meet their needs,” Vice President for Student Affairs Todd Jones said.
